Mobile Alchemy ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SoundMeter mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Microphone Data

The App requires access to your device microphone to measure sound levels in your environment. All audio processing occurs entirely on your device in real time. We do not record, store, or transmit any audio data to external servers.

Measurement Data

Sound level measurements, session recordings, and related data are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it via the CSV export feature.

Purchase Information

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information such as credit card numbers or billing addresses. We use Adapty, a third-party analytics service, to track purchase events and manage subscription status. Adapty receives anonymized transaction data from Apple; it does not receive your personal payment details.

Analytics

We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve the App. This may include app launch events, feature usage patterns, and crash reports. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

3. How We Use Information

The limited information we process is used solely to:

Provide real-time sound level measurements on your device
Store measurement sessions locally for your reference
Process and validate in-app purchases
Improve app performance and fix bugs

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Apple StoreKit for processing in-app purchases
Adapty for purchase analytics and entitlement management. Adapty's privacy policy is available at adapty.io/privacy

We do not integrate any advertising SDKs, social media trackers, or third-party analytics platforms that collect personal data.

5. Data Retention

All measurement data is stored locally on your device and persists until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. We do not retain any user data on our servers.

6. Data Security

Since all user data remains on your device, your data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. We do not transmit personal data over the internet.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App processes audio data only on-device and does not collect or transmit any personal data.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to provide, modify, or delete. All App data is under your control on your device. You can delete all data by removing the App from your device.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date above.
